Dr. McNair grew up in sunny Florida, a product of public schools where opportunities were made more frequently than presented. She worked to pay for her undergraduate and graduate studies, serving as a secondary teacher in Miami-Dade and later as a Recruiter & Human Resources Specialist for IBM.

Research became the driving force as she investigated programs in numerous institutions where she networked to attract interns for co-op positions.

Opportunities surfaced to partner with students, recent graduates and returners transitioning to post-graduate programs to pursue their big dreams.

Application mazes created by institutions often complicate the process.

Dr. McNair partners with both US and international graduate applicants to aid in navigating these passageways, counseling students to focus their searches and identify great options for optimal graduate and professional school experiences.

Through the consulting process, Dr. McNair aids in developing institution lists, identifying application components, editing compelling essays, investigating financial strategies, and selecting among admissions offers in confidence. Coaching is employed to fine-tune internal skills
needed to thrive.

As candidates proceed into research-based programs, both stateside and abroad, Dr. McNair coaches for persistence as each explores theory options,

builds investigation skills, narrows topic focus, develops executable plans,

completes research and defends their Master’s theses or Doctoral dissertations.

For clients seeking answers to life’s challenges, Dr. McNair aids in the introspective process of critical thinking. The client begins with a big picture perspective, working through layers to reach foundational issues. The coach serves as a thought partner while the client develops & implements strategies.
